Christ Church in Penygroes is a Victorian building, erected in the late 19th century to serve the growing village population following establishment of the quarries and other local industry.  

Christ Church is the focus of our ‘Teyrnas Arall’ / ‘Another Kingdom’ project. We want to open the church throughout the week, offering a flexible prayer space, community arts & environment hub and a micro-reserve for the rare wax cap fungi that have been discovered in the church garden.
