Schools

We are keen to offer prayerful support and develop learning partnerships with our local schools. 

Open the Book is an exciting storytelling project where Bible stories are shared with primary school children in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable. Storytelling teams use the Bible Society’s Open the Book programme to prepare and present a 15 -20 minute scripted Bible story to a school assembly involving the children as much as possible. Storytelling teams are made-up of trained and safely recruited volunteers from Beuno Sant Uwch Gwyrfai Ministry Area who sign up as members and follow the Open the Book Code of Practise. The team currently perform in nine schools on a monthly basis reaching around 500 children and over 30 teaching staff.

We are happy to facilitate guided visits to our churches and workshops for students which connect with curriculum priorities, learning objectives or which resonate with our own projects and activities.
