Llanaelhaearn
St Aelhaearn's Church, Llanaelhaearn LL54 5AE
With an ancient church and holy well, the village name Llanaelhaearn recalls a 7th century Welsh Saint who is said to have been raised to life by Beuno.
The current church dates back to the 12th century. It is small and intimate and we are hoping to be able to introduce toilet and kitchen facilities so that we can offer simple accommodation for pilgrims during the summer months.
Like Clynnog, Llanaelhaearn has a holy well which was once an important stopping place for those travelling the pilgrim way to Bardsey. Unfortunately, it is not currently open to the public.
